It's time for another round of Would You Buy It? Junker Newbie Stephanie hosts this party every Wednesday:
and we can ask other creative/informative/helpful bloggers out there about some recent finds. Here's my fun thingamajig for this week:
My apologies for the dark pics - no time to snap a shot during the day. It's labeled Pyrex on the base, and it certainly looks like some type of coffee thingee. There's obviously something missing (the pot and lid) if it's a coffee maker, but would you buy this as is to make it into something?
It would make a really cool display bowl? Or a terrarium? Fish bowl?? This might be a stretch even for the fabulous creative types out there...or not; let me know what you think!
I LOVE this! I think a terrarium would be really cool. Definitely looks like some sort of coffee thingy.
ReplyDeleteThanks for joining my linky party!

Wow, that brings back memories! My parents used one of these the whole time I was growing up. The coffee pot was made entirely of clear glass, and the part, in the photo, went inside of it.
ReplyDeleteLooks like part of a percolator. I'm seeing it somehow revamped into a pedastal candy dish....or something kinda retro like that. Keep us updated what it turns into...
ReplyDeleteYep. It looks like a coffee or tea percolator. I think a fish tank would be awesome. Get a beta fish because they live alone, and give it a try.
ReplyDeleteI have been reading your blog for some time now and just read your interview on Junkie Newbie - I am now a follower #98.
ReplyDelete- Joy
Great idea ~ ^_^
ReplyDeleteJunky Vagabond's Interview was on my blog ~ Share the Creative Journey at http://www.artmusedogsharethecreativejourney.com ~ Need all the promo I can get and 'give credit where credit is due ~ LOL ^_^
ReplyDeleteIt would be a nice modern twist on the old fasion bubble gum machines. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you liked my post on our bloggers day out and feel free to take the lazy susan idea..I thought it was great! they even had a little three tiered table in that peddlers mall for $22...I just didn't have room in my car to take it home!
Hope you have a great week!
missy
I like the terrarium idea or succulents, sure I would have bought it! It's cute!

I like it - I think it would be SUCH a cool terrarium or aquarium! You have such a creative eye - I would have thought it was interesting, but never would have thought of those options, but I think it could look AMAZING! : )
ReplyDeleteVery interesting! Might make a neat candy dish. I like the fish bowl idea too... maybe with some pretty stones?!
ReplyDeleteI like this blog.
ReplyDeleteDo You speak that You are 47 age?
I think You are 25.
Definitely buy it!
ReplyDeleteI like the terrarium idea - or candy dish? Or old clay marbles. Oh the possibilities!
Can't wait to see what you do with it.
I was thinking that it could be filled with jellybeans or jawbrakers or something. You could also possibly, wire it up to become a lamp. And then put a fish in it.
ReplyDeleteIncense burner! Or a scented candle hurrican lamp.
ReplyDeleteThat thing is neat, and I would have bought it in a flash!
I did mean hurricane...
