Here we are, continuing on with the House Tour; I hope you're enjoying this peek into my new home!
First up is the Breakfast Room (and I have no idea if this is what it should be called, but the realtor said it and the name stuck):
Pay no mind to the miscellaneous everything in the house from the boxes, to the cat bed, to the various stuff stuck on random nails left on the walls. These videos were shot a week after moving in and my only goal was to show you the worst Before pictures possible to make the Afters that much more impressive :)
My kitchen has so much potential...take a look and tell me what you think:
Keep turning right and you'll come to the Dining Room:
Having a dedicated dining room seems a little silly for two people who either eat out or eat on the couch, but hey, it came with the house :) I think that window will transform into a set of french doors onto a deck, just don't know when that little luxury will happen.
Coming around from the dining room, completing the circle, this is what one sees from our front door; our Living Room:
This furniture is from our old family room, which is currently swathed in a sea of orange carpeting...don't worry, you'll be seeing that in all its glory soon! The room is going to be challenging in furniture placement - I'll need some help if anyone wants to give me some constructive advice. With all the doors and windows and pathways, I'm stuck.
More videos to come; next up are the rooms that time has passed by, also known as the baths and bedrooms!
i think the kitchen has great potential! all of it does, really- with hard work and creativity it will be beautiful! our kitchen is horrendous, but hopefully next year we will have the funds to fix it up a bit.... we have cabints we can at least work with, too.
ReplyDeleteand oh i think you should keep those swag curtains- i mean, they are bound to come back in style. ;)
Potential, potential, potential has replaced Location, location, location now that I've bought the home :) The curtains are still up...they were obviously a splurge at one point, I kind of hate to mess with them. Maybe once I feel like this is more 'my' house :)
DeleteJill, I am so happy for you! I love the videos and pictures. Boy you have you hands full but in a good way! Best wishes to you in all these new fun projects! So can't wait to see what you do with the place!! I am also amazed at how quickly you were able to sell your other house! That is definitely a miracle in this market. I wish you could come stage my old house for a quick sale!
ReplyDeleteAll your rooms hold so much promise! Your kitchen is pretty big already; I can't imagine how much more space you'll have if you were to open it more. Lucky lady. Your hardwoods are gorgeous too!
ReplyDeleteMy LR is long and narrow too. Curious to see what you come up with in that room!
Bella, the kitchen's big, but laid our terribly. Plus it's very dark so I need to open it up not for the space but for some natural light. Help me out with how you arranged your LR plz!
DeleteFun videos, nice to see the 'before' cause I know the 'after' is going to be fabulous! xoxo
ReplyDeleteThanks girl! Taking my time, but we'll get there :)
DeleteFabulous bones, girl! The floors and windows are AWESOME! I can so see the possibilities... LOVE walking through it with you!
ReplyDeleteLove the bones, but the 'decor' was hard to look past. Just ripped down one set of curtains and can't wait to do more of that!
DeleteSo nice to know where you will be setting down roots. And I can see that you are optimstic about it all as you already talking about potential, which means plans, which means long term, which means you want to be here for a little while. Enjoy!
